Earn your certificate

To pass FOODSAFE Level 2, you must complete three requirements and a final assessment.

  1. Write a cleaning schedule to use in the sanitation plan for your establishment.
  2. Write a food safety plan for a menu item from your establishment. If you don’t work in food service, choose a recipe from home.
  3. Take part in course discussions and share your ideas. For the online course, you must post in at least two discussion forums (plus the “Meet Your Classmates” forum).

The final assessment has two parts:

  • Part 1: Unit 1 Questions (60%)
After each Unit 1 lesson, you’ll answer a short answer question. Your instructor will mark your answers. All answers must be your own work. AI generated or copied content will not be graded.
  • Part 2: FOODSAFE Level 2 Quiz (40%)
You can access the quiz after you pass your cleaning schedule and food safety plan assignments. The quiz covers key topics from Units 1 and 2.

Passing the course
You need a total score of 80% across both parts of the final assessment to earn your certificate.
